I have upgraded to WordPress 2.5.1, in a few easy steps based on the Codex article:
- Backup database (using phpMyAdmin, in my case)
- Backup wp-contents folder (where I have my themes and plugins)
- Deactivate all the plugins
- Delete wp-includes and wp-admin folder
- Upload new WordPress files and overwrite the old ones
- If you lost your wp-contents folder, you can always re-upload it using the backup you had.
- Go to http://yoururl/wp-admin/upgrade.php to complete the upgrade
What has been changed, you asked? Check it all out from the WordPress Blog.
