I’m not a big fan of April Fools’ Day, but here’s some of the interesting pranks today (in no particular order):
- Global consortium of ISPs and technology companies scheduled an Internet reboot, reported by Sitepoint.
- Gmail launches Autopilot, best thing about it is when both sender and recipient has Autopilot on, they converse (for up to 3 messages)!

- Reddit, changed their website to look exactly the same as Digg, well, almost.

- Opera takes web browsing experience one step further, by introducing Face Gestures.
- Guardian announced that they will publish their news, exclusively on Twitter, no more paper!
- Our favorite torrent tracker, The Pirate Bay, is acquired by.. Warner Bros!
- Look for your Web 2.0 scent, introducing Smellr!

- SmashingMagazine leaks Internet Explorer 8.1, with features like FireFox extensions support, better Acid3 test, faster JavaScript, server-side decompiler, website skins, etc.
- Get your $3 crap from Woot, shipping charge? $1 million dollars.

- ThinkGeek is selling Squeez Bacon, best thing since sliced bread?
- We have a new Social Networking site in town, add your FarkBuddies now!

- Identi.ca acquired Twitter.
- I’ve always wanted to visit Mars, now we can fly to Mars for $99!
- J. K. Rowling published the Harry Potter ebooks on SmashWords.
- Ford and GM announced, the “Android Car”.
- MooTools renamed to jTools, there are also jCore (MooTools Core), jMore (MooTools More) and jCide (Clientcide).
- Mr Kanye West is retiring from the music industry, in order to do full-time.. blogging?
- Windows Live Messenger can automatically detect your current mood, so you don’t have to enter any emoticon anymore.
- YouTube also did their part, by introducing a new viewing experience for users, start by viewing this video.
- Yahoo! Ideological Search, so your search results won’t contradict with your beliefs and values anymore!
- Twitter money-making product, the Wingman!
- Dancing tech stars, featuring Steve Balmer, Mark Zuckerberg, Michael Arrington, Jerry Yang and Evan Williams.
- Amazon announces locality flexible Cloud solution, called Floating Amazon Cloud Environment (FACE).
- Google has a few more pranks, like Cognitive Autohheuristic Distributed-Intelligence Entity (CADIE), Google Brain Search for mobile, there’s a panda on Street View, gBall by Google Australia, Google Chrome is now in 3D, some funny code samples on Google Code Search, etc.

- And the best of all, classic old-school April Fools’ prank.
