What is BarCamp?

No, it’s not what you think, there’s no alcohol involved during the sessions, that’s for BeerCamp :) But, in a nutshell, BarCamp is sort of like a conference, with many sessions, with talks from the participants, like YOU! Ideally, it is a user-generated conference, where sessions are proposed and scheduled on the day itself. And the best thing is, it is not a genre specific event, so you can come, and talk about anything, anything that you want to share with the world.

The official definition from BarCamp.org:

BarCamp is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. It is an intense event with discussions, demos and interaction from participants who are the main actors of the event.

Where and When?

BarCamp KL 2009 will be held on Level 4 of Inti College Subang Jaya, Jalan SS 15/8, SS 15, Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia. And it will be this weekend, 4th and 5th of April 2009.
